I was wondering if anyone could share their experience of having their surgery done at St. Joe's in Toronto?

I haven't but I knew a few people who said Paul Sullivan did the best VSGs and he is amazing. I was going to get him when he was with HRRH.

I went threw Sudbury bariatric and had my surgery at St Joseph Health Center in Toronto. The hospital is older but i had no issues there, i had good care and my surgeon Dr Sullivan was amazing he truly is an amazing surgeon, he cares about his patients and anyone who gets him as a surgeon are in great hands. He also did my internal hernia repair at 15 months post op.

Hi, I went through St. Joe's in Toronto.

I had Dr. David Lindsay, and he is amazing. Very skilled, friendly, and easy on the eyes, lol. Seriously, after I met him for the first time, the nurse came in and said, "Handsome, isn't he?" LOL. The anaesthesiologist was also very handsome; I felt like I was on Grey's Anatomy, lol.

The hospital is older and doesn't have the modern conveniences. I had no pain pump, no special bariatric bed, no massaging things on my legs like some people have mentioned, but the place is clean and the nurses were great. I grew up Catholic and actually felt comforted by the decor, and the chapel is very nice. I walked down the hall to the chapel often, and sat and rested and prayed that the pain would disappear, lol. I used to sing in the choir when I was younger so I enjoyed flipping through the pages of the hymnal.

I also had a lovely view of Lake Ontario. The hospital is right beside High Park, in a lovely area.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017
