Hi All,

I am having VSG next Wednesday at St Joes. I got a cancellation :) I am going tomorrow to pick up Opti. I am so excited it's happening..... Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences that helped me understand more about the surgery and what I might expect after.

Sincerely, Julie

Good luck to you next week!

Wow, lately seems more than a couple people are having the VSG lately. I had it done in March, my six months will be Thursday of this week.

I have no regrets doing it, and have been pretty successful so far weight loss wise.

Wishing you all the best, and a safe recovery!

Thank you Manda for your kind words. I am having it because I have sarcoidosis and go on/off nsaids. Congratulations on your success so far ?

That was part of the reason for my getting the VSG too, needing NSAIDs. Although I always wanted to get the VSG from the beginning, but I thought I would get the RNY, but couldn't find any non NSAIDs that worked. Plus there was another medical condition at play for me that 'helped' me get the VSG.

Thanks for you kind words as well.

Good luck!

What exciting news Julie; I'm so happy for you. Remember lots of ice and extra water in your Opti and you'll do fine. I loved my personal Hamilton Beach blender from Walmart for under $14 that came with it's own drinking cup - just a suggestion.

Thanks Linda, I have a ninja and plan to make icy drinks with it. I hope I can stand the taste. I am also going to buy caffeine free coffee to make them taste different as another poster mentioned last week. Can I have lemon squeezed into my water while on opti?

I did and still do. I prefer it to Crystal Light or Mio. I also have a blender at home but brought the smaller one to work with me. It didn't taste bad to me and made for an easy meal choice. Good luck.

I like chocolate flavour with ice and a dash of cinnamon in my blender. Tastes good!

Yahoo Julie! I'm so thrilled for you!!! Wow, I know you've waited a long time, so take this the right way: that happened fast! (Since yesterday!!)

Yahooooo!!!

PS: I went to Sephora today to pick up Gucci Flora. They sent me home with a sample! I was too tired after my big outing to try it on, but I'm going to tomorrow! I'm excited!!
