Welcome to the loser's bench!! I hope you feel better quickly. It was day seven til I started feeling any kind of "normal" and it sure is a slow, modified normal.

Like one poster said, take your pain meds just before you need them (I can't remember who gave me the advice to "stay ahead of my pain" but I took it while in the hospital and at home, and was so grateful for it!), walk, sip, root, don't worry about protein for the first week... eat what you can tolerate, be kind to yourself... you just had major surgery, and call the nurse hotline or go to emerg if you need to!

((Hugs))

So sorry to hear that you are in a lot of pain

Good that the surgery was successful from the surgeon's perspective though and hopefully the pain will start to subside quickly as the days go by. Glad you're with your mom to help you through this rough patch - rest and recover!

Big hugs!
