As I have mentioned (to flog that dead horse) i lost a lot of paperwork when my mom moved and my dad passed.

i have asked questions about vitamins before i had the right information. and you were all super helpful. i got the paper work when i went to my second pre op. isnt Andrew at TWH a doll? but now i am doing the testing of my blood sugar on opti.

i don't have the paper that says what level i should stop taking my metformin at.

i just tested post opti and my sugars are at 5.5?

any idea. every time i call the telehealth number they are useless. i know it said on that paper work. i am hoping one of you still has your testing sheet and can tell me. i suspect it was 6, but i dont know for sure and don't want to stop taking the metformin and have a spike in sugar.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

I was instructed by Internist through Guelph to stop Metform 2 weeks before surgery. Which happened to correspond to my Opti Fast diet.

5.5 (100 for US) is a perfectly acceptable blood sugar. What do you normally test after a meal?

Thank you that helped.

I did find the paperwork. which was great. i did go back up to seven today, so that was a little discouraging but i am sure it will be good.
