Thank you all for the support!! It is true each day gets better. Just doing everything a wee bit slower. Getting in my water and protein before my popsicle ohhh how I love my daily popsicle.

Still sleeping in the spare room as my king size bed is just too high to get in right now. Im looking forward to slowly getting around more.

Take care, all the best! Eyes on the prize

Hi, congratulations on a successful surgery!

I'm sorry you are in pain; I was too, a lot, and was not prepared for it as I read about so many people who said they couldn't even tell they had surgery. It does get better every day though. I held a little travel pillow over the area where the surgeon did the most work every time I had to get up or sit down and it really helped. For me, the getting up/sitting down movement was the worst.

My surgeon didn't give me many pain killers but i had a follow up with my family doctor and he renewed the prescription immediately. I could only take a half dose because it made my blood pressure rise too much.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017

Congratulations on your surgery. I hope your pain is managed and you improve each day. I love my Popsicles too, I mixed up my protein shakes and froze them in popsicle moulds, it helps me get some protein in which I am struggling with day 2 post op.

I hope you start feeling better soon. Congrats on the weight loss!!!

I left the hospital in pain too. And day 4 is when things felt a bit better. I struggled with high heart rate in the hospital, they did so many tests to see why but figured it was because I was in pain.

Yes I had so many tests too. Xrays, O2, telemetry, leak test, ECG x4, cardiac bloodwork up.

Same as you...the figured it was my pain response. I also heard about it being a walk in the park for some and people back to work a week later. Just proves were all unique.

I've had a 10lb baby, gallbladder removed and back surgery that did not amount to this much pain. Perhaps my tolerance is lower now that im getting more graceful...lol
