Before and During: March 2, 2017-August 16, 2017

There was an orientation 'class' that was approximately 3 hours long, basically a review of the surgery, lifelong commitments. There was a meeting with a Registered Nurse, Dietitian and Social Worker to review your health history, prior attempts at weight loss, current attempts and a psychosocial review. They always encouraged exercise and healthy changes prior to surgery but there was no exercise prescribed persay.

Wow! I am surprised there were no weekly classes. I went through the medical optifast program two years ago and they had classes about nutrition and exercise. We actually had exercise classes.

Very good info.

They really should provide more education for the surgical programme.
