Hi Linda

You look fabulous!!! I always love your posts. So positive, and insightful.

I too get not seeing the results of weight loss. I've started to notice lately, perhaps due to buying some clothes that fit me properly and seeing some of the changes. I still struggle to really notice it as a whole though. I will look in the mirror and sometimes I see some areas that aren't as big, and then sometimes, I still see that girl before surgery. I know a lot of people struggle with this, and I think its just a time thing, will all get there and notice all the hard work we put in.

I was in the middle of replying to your post yesterday, but then my sister showed up early, and I had to go.

I just wanted to say I think your doing great, you look great...and keep up the positivity and hard work!!!

Amanda

105 lbs. lost? Incredible. You're only a week ahead of me. If 100 lbs. doesn't show that you really should buy a new mirror - lol.

Right back atcha regarding inspirational messages and support.

All the best, always,

Linda

I get the mirror thing, it can be extremely deceiving. Sometimes I still see the awkward teenager, never saw that fat me and was able to deceive myself by never having a picture taken, I still joke there will be no pictures at my funeral.

I have been assured it takes awhile for the brain to catch up but have been instructed to enjoy every scale and NSV and to allow myself to stop, look in the mirror and try to wear clothes that fit not cloak.

I think for most it does take a while for the brain to catch up. I think my brain is finally catching up some lol I still have days where I still see the 348 version of me, but I'm noticing more, which is nice. Only took over 100 lbs to happen lol

Yes, enjoy the scale and NSV victories that will help a lot. Even if your brain isn't catching up, you will know by your scale and how your clothes fit differently. Throwing away clothes too that no longer fit, I hadn't done that in over a decade, so that was nice.

I've definitely avoided pictures as much as I can over the years, just hated seeing myself so big, so I get that.

Just focus on your success and eventually your brain will start to see the weight loss.
