just a quick question..

can anyone tell me if you had to wait 28 days to receive the first ei pymt...I have searched and cannot find a yes or no..

and can't find a phone number to call and talk to a live person...

pls..anyone can you help

it says 'you should receive your first payment within 28 days' So I'm guessing that means it could be longer.
I would imagine that direct deposit would speed it up a bit.

Make sure you have all your correct forms in, failing that could also slow the process.

The number to EI is 1800-206-7218, u will have to call a lot because it's hard to get through, u might get lucky! And I do believe it takes them 28 days to make a decision on your claim not a payment and yes direct deposit is best! Definitely call they will help u out! Just try try again till u get through!
