Wait times?

Hello!

My name is Brianna and I was referred to surgery last week. I know I will be waiting a while but the most recent "wait times" I could find were posted in 2013. Anyone that has recently had surgery in Ontario (or more specifically, Kingston) or has a scheduled surgery date: How long was/is your process from referral to surgery date? Any information is appreciated!

Thanks xx

Approximately how long was it from referral to first orientation for you?

Congratulations on starting the process, Brianna! It's an exciting, and nerve wracking, time!!!

Sheacat just had her surgery in Kingston a month ago. She hasn't been online too much lately... I think busy adjusting to her new life, and summer is just busy with kids, etc! You can try sending her a private message though... she's lovely and will respond when she can!

Wishing you and easy journey. :)

My doctor referred me July 31 /17 and I haven't received a call for orientation or anything yet ? I was wondering how long it would take as well. I was referred to Toronto western hospital

I'm also going through Kingston. They tell me 6-8 months from orientation to surgery. I hope it's not longer than that. There are more surgeons than there used to be.

I was referred by my doctor in the first week of September 2017. I live in Toronto. I was advised by my doctor that it could take around 6 months, but I'm curious about what the wait times are really like. My doctor didn't tell me which city the program would take place in either.
