I thought of one this morning:

  • the loud, metallic groan of the escalator when I step on.

All the best on your journey!

All of these examples are good ones, but after surgery, think about some of these:

  • having more energy
  • wearing shorts and not have your legs rub together
  • people you haven't seen for awhile say "Wow" or "You look great" (you always did!)
  • walking is much easier; no or little breathlessness
  • you dress throwing on whatever knowing that it will fit
  • you aren't upset looking at your reflection (not perfection, but damn you look good!)
  • you have a bounce to your step
  • and so many more ...

Congratulations, best of luck, you HAVE this. Yeah!

Good luck!. My adds are:

1: spanx!

2: avoiding the camera like a vampire or using objects and people in photos like props to hide behind

3: hearing comments from men like: "nice face, too bad about the body"

4: having limited career opportunities because of my weight

5: not caring about my appearance in general

6: not feeling attractive, no matter what I wear

7: waiting longer for a different bus to take me the route where i can walk home downhill instead of uphill.
