Optifast Recipe Ideas

im looking for recipe ideas for opti and ideas for cooking veggies . I'm on my 2nd week of 3 weeks of opti and I've lost 7 1/2 lbs. I would appreciate any ideas any members would like to share. Thanks

I haven't personally tried Opti yet - (am just starting the who WLS process), but my friend was on them and said she added Crystal Light liquid drink mix to them, as well as getting bottles of the Sugar Free Starbucks syrups you can buy at Starbucks stores. You can also order all kinds of flavours of Sugar Free Torani syrups at https://buycoffeecanada.com/torani-sugar-free. I've ordered from them before and they were great and shipped pretty quickly. They're from Ontario as well, so no duty. We did a Starbucks theme party for my girls' birthday so I ordered a bunch of stuff from them.

When I had my girls' party we did a frappuccino bar - and I developed some recipes for different flavours: for instance, Birthday Cake flavour was 2 pumps hazelnut with 3 pumps french vanilla with 1 pump raspberry. I'm sure this could be adapted to the Opti to make it more palatable and change things up a bit from time to time.

Hi Keljay,

I am on my 3rd and final week of Opti. What works for me with flavours are the following: Vanilla Opti with either Cinnamon powder or Orange extract, and for Chocolate using either Coconut or Caramel extracts. I like mine nice and cold so I use my Magic Bullet with some ice. I know some people use the Davinci or Torani Syrups (sugar free). Some use coffee, I guess its what flavours you like as well :) At my clinic we arent allowed any veggies, so not sure what ideas I could give.

I found some amazing unsweetened organic flavorings .... there are some bakery supply shops that have them too.

Also Low carb grocery has stevia sweetleaf drops in flavours.

my go-to recipe was vanilla Optifast, with water, ice and two squirts of Crystal Light Aloha Pineapple flavour.

it tastes similar to a pina-colada.

I was on opti for 3 weeks as well.

My go to was opti with decaf instant coffee or opti with pumpkin spice and lots of ice blended into a frap.

For dinner I used broth (Campbells) with 1/8 tsp of Mrs. Dash no salt added lemon pepper, Broccoli, green pepper and celery. Ususlly 1 cup total as I had 1 cup of leutice & cucumber (cut up very small) for lunch.
