What are you eating/doing Monday?

Ohh okay I see! That's great to hear that a balanced macro plan works well - I was getting worried that I would have to stick to a very low carb diet forever without any wiggle room for more fruits and veggies. Thanks for the advice! :) I'm also wondering - how many calories did you stick to in the losing phase? I'm 10 months post op VSG and for the longest time I was doing 700-900 cals a day, but I'm trying my best to increase it up to 1000 because I don't want my metabolism to slow down or adapt to such a low calorie level in the long term. I've noticed that a lot of successful WLS'ers are maintaining happily even at 1300+ calories. But I'm finding it hard to increase my calories to be honest! I always plan out a full day of meals but oftentimes I find I just can't eat that much. Should I be trying to make myself eat at least 1000cals at this point for continued safe weight loss? Thanks!!

I was at 900 by 3 months post op. did it in 5 meals/day. at around 6 months post op I upped to 1050 calories by adding a 6th meal (it wasn't that hard for me) I don't feel like I'm force feeding myself. still lost on that. given the large protein amounts and good calories I was able to hold onto muscle mass while I lost so I'm lucky there.

I've been transitioning to maintenance over the last month or so and have worked up to between 1250 and 1350 calories a day. My RMR is at 1350. So I should be able to maintain between there and around 1600. I had this determined at my dexa scan.

I have actually continued to lose (more slowly) this month even at 1250-1350. I really don't have more to lose so hoping it settles. below 140 would be too low for me.

Spent Saturday at Wonderland.. got in a ton of steps and was light enough to do the trampoline rope thingy for the first time ever. was totally fun and a workout.

Brought my premier with me and the only caving i did was my (planned) popcorn. We went to szechuan szechuan for dinner and instead of the usual General Tso's chicken I had some chicken satay and the chicken peanut salad. brought some of the leftovers for lunch today. My hubby didn't do quite as well and gained 3lbs over the weekend. oops.

Today:

B: Chia pudding with strawberries and blueberries

S. Premier with espresso

L: chicken peanut salad

S Chia Pudding with strawberries and blueberries

S. 1/2 protein oat muffin

D: tilapia, pico de gallo and guac.

S: a couple of handfuls of popcorn

Total cal 1300 protein 40% carb&fat 30%. fiber 36grams.

Good afternoon :)

Puppy 2 had us up at 5am with tummy troubles so we ended up going back to bed. We are off sightseeing today. My food has already been horrible so I don't think I will post a menu today -- Greek yogurt and cookie for breakfast :( I'm going to try to find something healthy for lunch, but we are getting takeout... I'm hoping they will at least have grilled chicken.
