Hey all. :) Surgery went well, but different than planned. Guess I have strange genetics? When my surgeon got started he found that my intestines were in the wrong place, and its apparently a fairly rare, bit still ok, thing. So instead of RNY, he gave me a sleeve. He will visit me again in the morning to explain better, but I am not sure how I feel about it yet... do sleeve patients lose as much or as easy as rny patients do? He said he didnt do rny for fear that if someone were to open me up again for some reason they would be totally lost. ? Its an adventure I guess!

So glad to hear you are in recovery. Things don't always go as scheduled but you still got the surgery. A different one but still WLS. Keep us posted on your recovery. Congrats.

I am on my last Opti as we speak as my turn is in the morning.
