I was told about the darker greens as well Laura, although peppers (red, yellow, green) are a bit hit and miss with me.

You are lucky your team is on top of everything and watching what you are doing so closely! You are doing really well and congrats!!

I went to my 3 month follow up meeting and they took my bloodwork then - I thought it should have been done before so we could look at it together and analyze the details. My next appt with them isn't until the 6 month mark so I may have to have a phone consultation about where my vitamin levels are at before the next appt. My nutritionist wanted me to eat more grains and starches too, but at this point when I'm trying to lose I'm not too interested. Maybe in time after I've hit my goals I will incorporate more but I'm surviving without it now.

The only level they didn't have was my Vitamin A, and like Laura, she told me to incorporate more leafy greens and orange/red vegetables.

Do you get your blood done through Life Labs? If so, you can access online and although we are not healthcare professionals, it will say if you are low or high.

I am learning to listen actively to what is being said, incorporate what you know will work or fit, then listen to your pouch (body) and do what is best individually.

The only thing constant with our journey is the plateaus that we will surely hit. Life is good!

Hi Linda,

Sounds like your doing great!

I was told I should be around 900 calories at my three month appointment. Be so nice if there was a more standard guideline across ontario. I struggle most days to get to 800, but that's what I'm able to do right now. I probably average around 600-700 a day.

Yes, I don't agree the weight loss being too fast, you seem to be following their plan. Some people just lose weight faster I guess (not a bad thing lol).

Glad to hear you are feeling better than ever! The great benefits of having this surgery and losing weight!!!

Keep doing what your doing, your doing a great job!!

Amanda
