Hey B.G.

I am not as committed as many members who have lost a significant amount of weight prior to surgery. What I will say is that going through the process, to all the classes, asking questions, joining this site - was the start. I then learned about mindful eating, chewing slowly, and making better choices regarding meals - low or no processed foods. I also stopped drinking pop, drank a lot more water with lemon and cut back on white wine. I had a glass with my "last supper", but it was a conscious decision and I was good with it. I also started tracking with "My Fitness Pal" which I use to this day then transcribe to the "What are you eating/doing" daily thread.

Just a few suggestions, but as I said, some members have done far more. Do what you can, learn lots, and keep your excitement going. You'll do great!
