I think I am on the road to recovery now.

I feel less pain now that I am passing gas. I am able to get in all of my water and 1/2 of my protein (well it really has only been 2 days) and I am losing weight. Just ounces daily but I figure with all the stuff my body went through the last few days this is a good thing. And the meds that I have been pumping in my body alone are enough for two meals a day.

I have not hit the stage yet where I regret doing this, and I hope I don't. I want to send a big shout to everyone on OH for keeping me calm and supporting me pre and post. Especially to "new me within" and Sheryl if you are on here. If it weren't for all of you I may have backed out or be completely lost! Thanks again.

This should say the "realmewithin" not "new me within"

I'm glad you are feeling better and will continue to do so. I have never regretted my decision and am also thankful to those on the site for their support and encouragement. It's great to have a place to go to ask questions, vent, or give us all something to smile about.

You will do well with the program. All the best.

Awesome Lisa... the first couple days are tough with the gas pain...but once that starts moving everything else will fall into place nicely.

Enjoy your new tool and this journey it's sure worth it. I may only be 4 months out but best decision I ever made.

Good luck!!

YAY I love to hear how people are doing.. I know I am anxious about how you know how much to eat and how long ... so reading your post and others who just came got it helps alleviate my concerns little by little. Take care and congrats!

Glad you are doing well.

I did have a moment in the hospital right after surgery, what did I do to myself lol It wasn't a serious regret, I think right after surgery your in the most discomfort, and your in the hospital not the most fun place to be.

I haven't had any regrets about doing this. I know there is noway I would be where I am and lost what weight i have thus far without this tool to help me.

Yes you are going to find some days harder than others, and the adjustment of this all can be very overwhelming. It does get better, but I admit even at three months out, I still have my moments. This is a journey it will have ups and downs, such is life, but it will get easier the further you get out. I'm still adjusting to somethings, but things that I had issues with even a couple months ago, are much easier to deal with now.

Glad to hear your getting your fluids in. Do your best with your protein, I never got in all my protein amounts the first month, but liquids are most important and sounds like your doing a great job of that.

Wishing you a healthy recovery.

Good luck.
