completely petty, I know, BUT...

I had to lose about 70 lbs before people started noticing, but then again, I started out *way* heavier than you. But I wanted to chime in because there are still a lot of people who haven't said anything to me, and I've lost over 200 lbs. Of course they've noticed (I hope....how could they not??), but I think a lot of people are uncomfortable pointing out significant changes in weight, for fear it might be due to something like cancer. Or they just feel it's inappropriate to mention someone's weight.

Personally, I did not have this surgery to get compliments, I had to save my life, and to be there for the people that matters the most to me. If you or anyone else had it to get compliments, you had it for the wrong reasons. just sayin

I must have missed the part in my post where I wrote that I had this surgery for the compliments. silly me.

I guess referring to my post as 'petty' and finishing with "And please, this is meant to be funny, not a true complaint" wasn't enough for you to read it as it was written - as a cheeky post.

Then why post what you did. Why buy a gift card. If you dont want comments of any kind, then dont post. You certainly do wants compliments or you would not have posted. No need to get defensive when someone gives you their opinion. My cooments were not unkind or rude etc.. they were factual ... sorry if the truth hurt.

In a few months you will wonder why people keep mentioning your weight. Even people you hardly know will feel they can make comments.

It's not petty!! I totally felt the same way..but I am down 49 pounds and people are noticing now..I go back to work on Monday and no one has seen me since before surgery, will see what they say! Lol I really don't wanna go back to work I am stressing about it I just wanna stay at home with my kids! :(

You're doing great; 25.2 Lbs in a month is amazing.

Not petty at all, LOL; I know how you feel. I went to a family wedding when I was 70 Lbs down and only ONE person said anything about my weight loss. ONE, lol.

Now I'm down over 91 Lbs and had a dentist appointment. My dentist didn't notice or say anything, lol.

My doctor, however, is a big fan of the weight loss. I have an appointment next week and I can't wait. How weird is THAT, lol?

There are people *****ally never will notice. I remember one guy saying, "You look so different, is it a new hairstyle?"
