What Center Are You From & Pre/Post Op

Meet the surgeon is the finish line at TWH as well I believe. I'm still not 100% sure of what comes after my next appointment. I've put my best guesstimate based on what people have told me (well, what I've understood!!).

This really is an intense process. Exciting though!! And all the more so because of the support. I honestly don't know how I'd get through it otherwise.

My clinic is Guelph! I actually live in Niagara so it's a bit of a drive but well worth it. I was referred in August 2016, orientation was late October, and I had my surgery May 25! Today is actually my one week surgiversary. Kind of funny because this week flew by but the 8 months before it dragged on and on...

I'm from London, went to the clinic in Windsor and had surgery at St. Mikes January 16/17! It has been a great journey. Frustrating at times after surgery. Could hardly eat, was mostly on soft food until April. Thankfully for the last 2 months I've been able to eat normally (aka normally for a bariatric patient). I still can't eat more than 1/2 cup most of the time, especially when it's heavily dense protein aka chicken, steak, ground beef.

I have had my stalls - in March and currently in one but I've lost 102lbs since starting this journey when I first started at the clinic and feel great about myself.

Hi everyone, I am fairly early in my journey. I have orientation next week and so anxious to get on with things. I am from North Bay ON so orientation in Sudbury. Not sure where surgery will be, possibly St. Josephs from what I have read? Finding these Forums very helpful :)

I was only just referred (April 28th) to Humber. However, I'm moving to Sudbury from the GTA in a month so I'm not sure if I'll need to change hospitals or not. I'm already insanely impatient. I wish there was something I could do to speed the process up in someway.

I am going through the Sudbury centre. I have been approved and am now just waiting to hear about my next appointment, which I think is meeting the surgeon via telemedicine. The waiting can be hard at times but I think it helps to prepare. I am thankful for this group and all the advice I have read in posts, it has really helped me.

I'm pre op at St. JOES in Hamilton. I sign my consent with the surgeon this coming Monday!!! So excited!
