The Burlington/Hamilton WLS support group meeting is this coming Saturday June 3, 9:30-11:30. It is held at the Burlington Fortino's - 2515 Appleby Line (Southeast corner of Appleby and Hwy. #5). I have gone to two meetings so far and it is a great way to meet other people going through the process and to gain some insight and support.
Also, I checked and my internist appointment is Tuesday June 13 at 9.
This is a great thread gbears. It's nice to see where everyone is from and where they are in their process.

I believe the longest wait is between Orientation and your first appointment. After that, things seem to move fairly quickly. Practising patience and perseverance seems to be what this is all about! All the best to you.

Agreed! The weight between orientation and the next one is the longest. After that time will fly by!

I'm not sure. From what I'm reading, everyone's testing varies depending upon medical pasts I guess. I think they are checking both for me because of my age. I'm 56. I was asked by the nurse how long ago I had had a colonoscopy and it had been 5 years, so she said I was due for one anyway.( I think after 50 the norm is to get checked every 5 years).
