Excessive saliva?

Hi everyone,

I am two days out of surgery and I've found that I am constantly producing saliva. My nurse friend says this is most likely due to the anesthesia. I'm worried that it's more to do with the actual surgery itself. Has anyone experienced this?

I've read people who experience 'sliming' once they're on solids and they're pouch doesn't like something. However, being only two days out, I'm still on liquids and even jus****er makes this happen. I'm sipping very slowly with about two minutes between sips.

It is definitely something to watch. You could be developing a stricture.

Thanks, Dawn. It's all cleared up now. I'm thinking it was a byproduct of nausea right after the surgery. It went away around 4 days post-op and hasn't made another appearance. Thank goodness.
