Just out of curiousity-- because I've just completed my first week of opti and am somehow down 20 pounds (probably 80% water weight lol) and I have another week to go-- how long were you on opti and how much did you lose?

Weight loss on Opti varies greatly. Male/Female, very large/not as large, etc. What really matters is that you stick to it to shrink your liver, and to help make your surgery and recovery much easier. I lost 44 lbs. in 3 weeks but I am very big and a male. I know people who only lost a few pounds. It doesn't matter as long as you are extremely vigilant about sticking to it.

Good luck with your surgery!

I have been on Opti for four weeks now (non surgical program) and I've lost 19 lbs. I lost 8 the first week and 3-4 lbs for each subsequent week. I'm a little disappointed at how slow it's going but I was on a high protein low calorie diet for three months before starting Opti so I think that's why my loss has been slower. I haven't cheated at all and work hard at the gym for an hour most days.

I was on Opti for 2 weeks and lost 16 pounds

The nurses were impressed; they said that some people don't lose any weight at all, others only a few pounds, others more than me. It's all individual

One thing I've learned through this journey is not to compare yourself to others. It can lead to frustration, feelings of inadequacy and failure. This is YOUR journey, not anyone else's. You may lose more/less faster or quicker. Believe in the tool and the process and success will come!
