Pre surg weight gain

Has anyone experienced pre surgery weight gain. Anytime I am stressed about something big coming up no matter what I do I will gain weight. Even if diet hasn't changed. Have my medical coming up in a week and I am concerned about what they may say to this gain.

It depends on the amount of gain on what they say. I gained 5lbs between appointments 2 months apart. They weren't happy but it was that time of the month and I always retain fluid. I explained that but still they wanted me to be down that weight the next time I came back. I made sure I was plus some.

Curiosity - besides some weight gain do you have anything like hair loss, fatigue, acne, difficulty concentrating, sore joints, hot or cold all of the time?

Usually very clear complexion but have a few blemishes lately. Again when I get stressed or nervous it tends to happen.

I have hashimotos (hypothyroidism) and if it is uncontrolled I can have this happen. High levels of stress can affect your hormones and through thyroid levels out of wack.

The other thing is something that I know I can be guilty of is not eating mindfully when I am stressed. I tend to pop food into my mouth without thinking. Maybe try really working at recording everything you eat and be honest. In the end the only person being cheated is yourself when you don't record everything?.

I was maintaining for months but then gained 13lbs. I was shocked at the gain myself as I was doing what I was suppose to, but I had added more carbs at the dietitians request. My surgery was not delayed due to this.

I gained 13 pounds between orientation and surgery. No one said anything to me about it! I was a little concerned at the time.

Hi I had my orientation on April 28th and I am struggling with gaining. I was 271ish around the orientation and I have been up to 280. Currently 278. I am freaking out but I know it's my own doing and my own choices. Argh!!!!!!
