Good morning everyone. Looks like it's going to be a nice one out there. I'm still trying to get everything done before I fly down south. My Dad is still in hospital, but doing a bit better. His voice sounds stronger and he was able to eat something yesterday.

This morning I'm going swimming, then running errands, laundry, paperwork, and tonight DH and I are going on date night. I will miss DH so much when I'm away. He is my rock, my best friend, and pretty cute. He's all that and a bag of chips.

The eats today at 2.5 years post op are:

Rivers of decaf with Premier protein used as creamer

Jumbo shrimp on slices of avocado, poached egg on top, and Hollandaise on top of that

Not sure about dinner, but I will choose a good protein and a salad or veg

SKYR yogurt with all the fixin's for a snack before bed.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning CC. Glad your Dad sounds better. I hope you find him in better health when you visit.

Long walk today to take the dog for grooming. My dog is quite large and very strong. We have never had him groomed, have always washed him ourselves. He has a thick undercoat we are hoping they can get rid of or least some of it. If you pat him right now you come away with a ton of loose fur. I hope this person can control him as he hates having a bath.

My friend had to have a chiropractor's appointment this week because her dog pulled too much. I'm sure your dog will look very pretty afterward, but it will last only a few days until he rolls in grass, sand, plays in the water.

Cc, sorry to hear he's not well. It can be so stressful when a loved one is sick and in the hospital...

Good morning :)

Well, they demolished the old fence yesterday and it was glorious!! The guys didn't get as far as they had planned because their truck broke down and had to be towed. After they left I noticed there was quite a bit of garbage that had accumulated between my neighbour's raised patio and the fence. I ended up filling a large garbage bag and a yard bag with all the debris.

Today will be the new fence installation and an appointment for a massage. This will probably be the last one with the RMT as things are feeling better.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - carrots and pb

Lunch - chicken, veg

Snack - egg, pickles

Dinner - beef and veg

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Truthfully Meg, now that I know he's in competent hands, I'm less worried. His condition has improved since he has been admitted. He will still probably be in hospital when I get down there.

Good morning all,

It's a beautiful morning here, even though still a little cool. CC - I'm so glad your Dad is improving. Safe travels and enjoy your time with him. I laughed at your post. For me, my DH is "all that and a protein shake". Rocks are important, although sometimes they hurt your feet.

Hi all,

Can't believe it's Friday already; where did the week go?

CC, I'm glad your Dad is doing better; that must be a relief.

Yesterday was lovely and warm here in the North, and I went for a bike ride to pick up my Avon order, then rode up and down the streets in that neighborhood and discovered it was the friendliest neighborhood in the city. EVERY time I stopped to sip on my water, a child approached me to chat, and one little girl even brought over her pet ferret (named Ruby) to meet me. At one point a little curly haired boy, about 3 years old, opened his door and called "hello" to me and invited me in. I waved and said hi and continued on, saying a quick prayer that his Mom heard him and corrected him for inviting strangers in, lol.

From there I rode to my Uncle's neighborhood and could here my Dad and Uncles talking in the back garden from a block away. I stopped in to say hello and ended up staying for supper (hamburger patty, a bit of salad). I only did 5 km but by the time supper was over and I helped with the dishes, it was late so I caught a ride home with my parents. Today I plan on swimming, and then later am supposed to go to the movies.

Breakfast: pepperette, cheese string

Lunch: chocolate protein shake (at the pool).

Supper: Salmon filet or shrimp, not sure which.

Also, lots of herbal tea with premier protein as whitener, and water.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017

Today will be a tough food day for me as for the first time in a long time it isn't entirely planned out (I'm a planner). It was going to also be my last day of low carb experiment and frankly I'm so glad. I missed my blueberries! and it is really hard to eat low carb and also get in enough fiber.

My husband sprung a get together at my BIL's house tonight to plan for his wedding, i'm going too. It is at 6pm so I imagine there will be food involved. I'm prepping to bring some protein bars should there not be anything Bari friendly. I worry because I don't want to offend.

I have become one of those high maintenance eaters. 3+ instructions to the waiter at a restaurant (but seriously how hard is it to put dressing on the side?). Was disappointed because the one time I ate out this week I thought I was doing really well. they had what they called a protein burger which was a burger wrapped in lettuce! house salad on the side, dressing on the side. Perfect!. only it arrived and the lettuce bun was covered in Thousand Island dressing (not on the menu). so disappointing. I hate it when restaurants do that.

B-Chia pudding

S-Hard boiled egg

L-Sashimi

S-Chia pudding

D-? (protein bar?)
