Anyone go under expecting RNY and wake with a Sleeve?

I never expected anything other than RNY, but while waiting for surgery I read my chart cover to cover (nosy nurse).

Anyway, that was the first place I noticed that we had discussed a sleeve and decided RNY was best - I was dumbfounded to say the least. That said, I had placed my trust in this surgeon to not only do the surgery but to complete the process for approval by OHIP, so if that is what was needed so be it.

As well, with any meeting over a personal health concern I would now ask another person to be there. They often catch the things you miss when you are sitting there deer in the headlight style worried if you qualify, or if there is something really wrong etc.
