I didn't even have to call for a cancellation
What a pleasant surprise in my email today. A notification that my appointments have changed in "my UHN". My pre-op was scheduled for August 8 and was changed to August 1st. Would be nice if my surgery changed as well, but no luck yet! Fingers still crossed.
Referred April 2016, Orientation September 21, 2016; Psyc appointment November 23, 2016; Nurse Practitioner assessment November 30, 2016; Nutrition Class December 7, 2016; Social Worker assessment December 9, 2016; Nutrition 1:1 January 26, 2017 and Surgeon April 7, 2017; Pre-admission June 12, 2017; Surgery date June 20, 2017 with Dr. T. Pre surgery loss 20 lbs, M1-17 lb, M2-16, M3-16.2, M4-7, M5-10.8, M6-+8, M7-4, M8-
Goal 1- 50 pound loss by Jan. 1, 2018 (245.6 lbs) reached August 10, 2017
Goal 2 - 100 pound loss by June 21, 2018 (one year post op) (195.6) reached TBD
what is "my UHN"... never heard of it... I was hoping for a cancellation too...but it's just over a month now until pre op... so we are getting closer..lol

it is a patient portal for the UHN network (network of hospitals in the gta). When you go into the bariatric office there is a phamplet you get and they give you an activation code, and all of your appointments and test results, blood work and consultation reports are on there.
It is quite handy and you things are at your fingertips so you don't have to rely on or wait to get lab results from your doctor, they are posted there from the lab.

wow. ..they didn't give it to me when I was there.... wonder if it's new.. .I'll have to remember to ask about it when I go for pre op on May 23rd...

I had to ask for it. The pamplet is by the front desk. I am sure you can get them from anywhere in the hospital.

I called the uhn portal support people today.. and they gave me a registration number and i'll all set up and ready to go... Thanks for letting me know about this.
Unfortunately my pre op appt is still the same date.. but they don't even show my surgery date in there..
