I already have thin hair and I am concerned that with the weight loss, I will lose even more hair. Has anyone tried Biotin supplements? What is your opinion on them?

TIA!

Did nothing for hair on head. Did grow lots of facial hair and had to have full face savings until I quit the biotin.

I take 5000 mcg a day and it is working for me. It takes months so be patient.

Is it prescribed by your doctor? I'm considering as well. I've always had very fine hair, and very thin until after I had my son. Weirdly after his birth it stayed so much thicker than pre-pregnancy by far! So I'm scared to lose it all now with the surgery and would really like to avoid it. I've never had a lot of body hair/facial etc at all or acne so I could see that steering me off the Biotin if what the other posters say happens to everyone. Hmmmm.
