I'm 1 week post-op and I find I'm cold all the time, prior to surgery I always ran hot, is this just my body dealing with the surgery? Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, congrats on your surgery; hope all went well.

The same thing happened to me and I'm almost 9 weeks Post Op and still cold. I wear fuzzy socks all the time, and always have a sweater on or or blanket around me. The only time I felt too warm was on yesterday's bike ride, and I was wearing a big fuzzy sweater, gloves, and a scarf, lol. Toward the end of 5 km, I was finally able to take the extras off and feel comfortable.

I think it's the surgery plus the rapid weight loss. My feet are like blocks of ice, always, lol.

I was cold for the first 2 years

I now own 3 electric blankets because I needed them for everywhere bed, living room, trailer in middle of August

I'm now noticing it's not all the time - it fluctuates but mostly when I'm sitting still for long periods of time my inner coil goes to sleep LOL

I find myself not only chilly more often, but my bum is sore from sitting at times. It's a good problem to have. less cushion for warmth and/or padding on the bum.

I'm stilling in the pre-op stage, but I have always found that when I up my water intake I get cold all the time. Perhaps this is contributing for you??

I agree. I've always been a bit on the cold side and this winter has been particularly cool and damp. I'm cold most of the time now and have heard this continues through our weight loss. As my daughter is concerned about a hot summer throughout her pregnancy (she's due in September ), I say Bring it on!

OH YEP!!!!

I'm still cold most of the time, but the first year was CRAZY!!

Even in the summer and hands and feet get chilly. I guess they are poorly insulated these days !! Lol

I'am 6weeks and 6 days post op and I have been freezing since the moment I woke up from surgery! It hasn't left yet! It's horrible, my feet r freezing like ice blocks and my hands! My husband gets so mad at me when I get into bed and put my feet on him! So now I've been wearing socks to bed as well even though I hate stuff on my feet!
