Just read this one Leeann, and yes, you are back to work (lol).

This will be a challenge each and every day and when you (I) made this decision, we decided to put ourselves first. That isn't always going to happen, nor is it going to be easy. I agree with Tanya, we need to adapt and continue to learn how to use the new tool. You will do it. What a huge change for you after being home on a very tight, uninterrupted schedule. Now that you're in Onederland, I hope you're smiling knowing that you will adjust and succeed.

Don't stress about today. Focus on tomorrow. Carry your water with you everywhere you go. It will remind you to drink. I sometimes set a timer on my cell phone. Give it a try. Schedule everything you have to be reminded of on your cell and you will be reminded. Please remember to put yourself at the front of the line. Good Luck! You got this.

Not a failure, hon. A failure would be if you went back to your old habits and did whatever it was you did when you used food like heroin.

The early days are the worst. I remember being absolutely floored by the fact that I was never, ever, ever hungry. I had to be reminded to eat. I don't remember there being all the rules abou****er intake back when I had my surgery in 2000, but there might have been. I was lightheaded a great deal of the time, as I recall.

So you made a mistake. Do the best you can and carry on. And we forget about ourselves because a lot of us have spent our lives forgetting about ourselves, and that doesn't go away with the surgery.

Courage, my friend. You got this.
