So tired.
Went back to work today. Stayed from 930-230 and I'm exhausted. I feel crappy and weak. I sit at a desk lol sucks.
Thankfully my boss and coworkers are supportive and understand if I have to go home.
This is the least energy and most weak I've been in 1.5 weeks. I'm hoping adding some pureed foods will help.
I'll try again tomorrow.

Wow, you didn't get much time off at all, did you? It's too bad you couldn't ask for more time off so you can recover and get your strength back.
Good luck.

Getting in more fluids should help with energy levels. One of the things that we are warned against in the beginning is becoming dehydrated. It can happen easily. You are early out Jo and your body is still recovering from the trauma of major surgery as Pat said. It even takes a while for your body to get rid of all of the anesthetic. In the first month I had to take naps. You are so lucky that you have good support at work. In 6 months time they will be amazed at how much energy you do have.

I ended up with a migraine. I had some water, slept for 20 minutes and had some Tylenol. Feel much better now.
I don't think I had enough water today. Need to focus on that.
I could have taken work off for a longer time period but I get paid commission as well and I miss that. Lol. I figure I'll start back very slowly this week and next.
Thanks for all your responses. :)

Glad you started to feel better. You are probably right that you didn't have enough water. Many of us have trouble with plain water after surgery. Try differen****er enhancers and find one that you like so that you can drink more. Especially in the beginning, you should always have a water bottle with you to sip all day long (except when you are eating, and the 30 minutes before and after). Good idea about taking it slow at work this week and next.

Manulife called today and wanted to see how yesterday went so I told her. They now have me on 4 hours a day this week and 6 next week to work my way back into the day. So i'm done at 1:30pm this week and 3:30 next week. That made me feel better. I'm scheduled to work 5 hours on Saturday which I just emailed her about since I forgot so we will see what she says about Saturday. I'll probably leave at 2pm.
Today I'm feeling better however trying to put my hair up in a bun this morning made my arms tired. lol I am armed with a big protein shake for after lunch and had one this morning too. I've also packed some laughing cow cheese which seemed to help me yesterday. :)
Time to take my vitamins :)
