HRH Orientation Feb. 14/17

Hi everyone, just wondering when you are allowed to switch from HRH to Guelph as I live the same distance from each and know my way around Guelph better. I have my Orientation on Feb. 14/17. Also, I was told they don't do RNY anymore is this right? Thanks

Hello, sorry I can't help with the transfer question. I am interested in what you heard about them (do you mean HRRH or Guelph or both?) not doing RNY anymore? I had this done 8 months ago and am pretty sure its considered the "gold standard" in Ontario and wonder why they wouldn't do it anymore? Do you have any other information?

I am pretty sure you are able to request a transfer from HRH to Guelph st any stage.  I transferred after my orientation but was told after wards that I could have done so before to save myself doing orientation twice.

To request a transfer, call HRH's Bariatric program and request the switch to Guelph.  Wait a couple of days, and then call Guelph to confirm that they received the transfer.

HRH does RNY. I had it done in October.  It's a band new hospital and has an amazing new bariatric program. Very professional

I'm waiting for my first appointment after orientation at HRH. It's been almost 6 months now and I haven't heard anything and my calls aren't being returned. I suggest you get that transfer in ASAP, they are busy!

I called last week and they have transferred my paperwork to Guelph. I am just waiting now to get an Orientation date for Guelph. I hope you hear something soon. Take care.

Just got a call this morning. I am in the March 9th Orientation class. Yippee!! Hope it moves along at a steady pace.
