I am finished all of my appointments and have been told my file will go to rounds today and that I should get a call to meet the surgeon within 3 weeks. Now I know that there will still be a wait and an opti period but it hit home today, this will really happen!!!!

Referred April 2016, Orientation September 21, 2016; Psyc appointment November 23, 2016; Nurse Practitioner assessment November 30, 2016; Nutrition Class December 7, 2016; Social Worker assessment December 9, 2016; Nutrition 1:1 January 26, 2017 and Surgeon April 7, 2017; Pre-admission June 12, 2017; Surgery date June 20, 2017 with Dr. T. Jackson TWH.
Pre surgery loss 20 lbs, M1-17 lb, M2-16, M3-16.2, M4-7, M5-10.8, M6-+8, M7-4, M8-
Goal 1- 50 pound loss by Jan. 1, 2018 (245.6 lbs) reached August 10, 2017
Goal 2 - 100 pound loss by June 21, 2018 (one year post op) (195.6) reached TBD
It might be longer than the 3 weeks... my file went to rounds jan 5th.. and i'm still waiting on a call.. :( and when I called to find out what was happening... was told I was passed through rounds... and now just had to wait for them to call.. that they are still backlogged...lol.. and it could take at least another 2 weeks.. :(

When you were offered Guelph for your surgery did you have to repeat any of the process or did you just go there for the surgery? Was your after care and follow ups with TWH or with Guelph. I am not adverse to going to Guelph if offered but I don't want to have to travel there all the time for appts and follow ups after the surgery.

I didn't meet the surgeon at TWH. I had to go to Guelph for that as well as pre-op and for my post-op check up. Everything else will be with TWH and there was no duplicate. I don't know if TWH is offering that option anymore but it doesn't hurt to check.

Wow! That is really quick. At the rate you are going it will probably happen very soon. I had my orientation July 4 and have only just heard that my first appointment won't be until late March. Congratulations. I feel your excitement!!
