Are you sure you were their favourite because you followed the rules? Maybe you were just a little *****arming?

So glad to hear you're home and on your way to recovery. I'm going in tomorrow morning 6am. I'm a little nervous but not overly. Just because I don't know what to expect in terms of pain and nausea. Although I too am a great rule follower. I'll try and become the Guelph nurses' favourite too :-)

LOL - they did say that some people refuse to follow the rules - and they end up staying longer than needed - I actually heard a nurse arguing with a patient last night - *****fused to get out of the bed - I knew they were a bariatric patient - because we get a special bariatric bed - so easy to know who our fellows peeps are.

Good luck with you surgery - everything will be fine - just be patient - and follow the rules :)

Great news...I'm being discharged!!! They would have let me go home last night but I said I would wait until today. The nurses said I was their favourite and the only one that followed the rules which is why I get to go home. Lol. I had some painful moments throughout the 3 days for sure but I forced myself out of bed to walk. I even had a brief moment of " what the hell have I done!" But that's all gone and feel pretty darn good. Looking forward to a good shower and sleep when I get home. I have to say the staff here have been amazing! Wouldn't hesitate to come back to this hospital for anything. Thank you for all your support, well wishes and messages. It has truly been overwhelming and I thank you. ??

Hey!!  How you feeling and doing?  Keep us updated!!  We worry and just a little nosy!!

I still have some pain - but nothing too bad - it feels like pins and needles - and little fluttering feelings - I am sure it's all from nerves etc being cut - who knows - and there is still quite a bit of gas to come out.

Being home is the best - I don't think I could have stayed another day in the hospital

No regrets!

Good for you for following the rules. I have too, and am foing really well. I was shocked at the one month follow up group nutrition class how many people were not doing what they were supposed to.  Rest well, listen to your body, and take good care!  So happy this experience was so positive for you.
