Hi All,

Just a little update on my journey.  I am 3 days into the Optifast Diet now, have to admit it's going better than I thought.  This stuff really does suppress my hunger.   I purchased Vanilla only because I was lucky enough to try one before having to buy 3 weeks supply. I actually look forward to my next shake.  A few days ago, a coworker gave me a few chocolate which is great, I can mix things up a little or so I thought.  I tried one last night and it was good, problem was it made me hungry so I may hold off awhile before trying one again.  My Surgery is Feb 8th, my PAU appointment with the Anesthetist and Nurse is Feb 6th.  I'm down 5lbs already since starting the Optifast on Wed.  So looking forward to the other side of this life change.

Just thought I would share since so many others who have posted their experiences have helped me to this point.

That's great news Dagwood.  You are doing so well and it won't be long before you are on the loser's bench.  Saving a spot for you.

Exciting times ahead, bench has lots of room (we all take less space after a while)

Too funny!  I almost choked on my hot lemon water while I read this because it made me laugh so much.

Hi Dagwood,

Congrats on the weight loss, and on doing so well on Optifast.

I love the Vanilla too, even more than the chocolate.  I was not given a choice as to what I could have; they just gave me half and half and I took them and left.  I love the vanilla too!  I was very hungry for the first 8 days; maybe it was because half of my shakes were chocolate?

I haven't been hungry for the last few days and now is day 11.

Thank You Kathy.

I am now on Optifast day 12.  So far so good.  A few very strong impulses to want to cheat, but I made it through.  Thank goodness for Broth and SF Jello.  I may only be allowed an extra 20 Calories/day, so one of each of those when needed helps me make it through the urges.

You're doing great!  I'm on day 19 and can't believe it's almost over!

I love my daily broth. I'm not allowed jello but am allowed 2 cups of greens per day.  I only had the greens once this week because I haven't been feeling well.

When is your surgery?  Mine is in 3 days, hopefully (I have a cough and am worried they may cancel it).
