Welcome!

He is worried because he worries something will happen to you, which is a good sign as it shows he cares (the number of posts where the SO is trying to sabatoge the WLS partner causes my heart to hurt).  My partner was hesitant at first.  He loved me the way I was and I was perfectly healthy at the time.

I took him to some meetings.  I went and joined a support group which reassured him that I was meeting with people who had lived with the realities of this surgery.  I mentioned the sorts of things it would prevent in a low key conversational way.

He came around.  I am only 8 weeks out but so far very glad I did this.  I hope yours does too.  Reading these boards is also good and he can post here if he has specific questions as well.
