Transfer from TWH to Guelph

I got a call from TWH yesterday that my file is being transferred to Guelph this week, so hoping to see the surgeon there soon. I called Guelph last week and they told me they're booking anywhere from 2-6 weeks from when we see the surgeon. Feeling like I'm in the home stretch of the waiting game. I know the journey is just beginning. :)

I was transferred from TWH to Guelph as well.  I met with Dr. Pereira-Hong on Nov. 15 and was given a surgery date during that appointment of Dec. 22.  That's a pretty quick turn around as far as I'm concerned.  Everyone at the Guelph clinic was exceptionally nice and I'm told that Dr. Pereira-Hong is an excellent surgeon.

Yes, they put me on 3 weeks of Opti.  The stuff tastes horrible!  I definitely suggest getting some Crystal Light or Mio flavourings to help them go down.

Sugar free torani syrups are also good in opti. I used red raspberry in the vanilla opti and thought it tasted like a vivapuff cookie. Some people find it too sweet, so I used extra water and ice.

what time is your surgery at? Dr. Pierra-Hong is my surgeon as well. I am going in at 10:30 am on the same day as you

I'm scheduled for 8 AM on the 22nd.  I guess we're back to back with Dr. Pereira-Hong?

I too was switched and have my surgery on Dec 22. I am on day 6 of opti and its REALLY not that bad. The Vanilla one i add a scoop of instant decaf coffee in the cold water, mix that then add the powder, not as sweet. i add a caramel extract to the chocolate and it is good. i really dont mind it.. counting down the days till surgery!!

That's great! How many weeks of OPTI did you have to do?
