Diet advice

One of the big things you'll be told is to write everything down.  Your food, your activity, and even your emotions.  First, this helps you see exactly what your eating.  Every bite gets written down.  And second, it helps you see patterns and triggers that you'll need to deal with.

Also starting to look at what your eating and going for a healthier alternative.  Such as greek yogurt instead of regular.

Caffeine, carbonated drinks, alcohol, are some of the drinks you should cut out.  Breads and junk food.

But do your changes slowly, if you try to do them all at once, you probably won't be able to maintain them.

That's great advice, thanks very much! I've been using MyFitnessPal to track my food, but I haven't been writing down emotions...which as an emotional eater, makes a whole lot of sense.
