Is there another appointment after this before surgery?

did they give you your surgery date? when I met the surgeon he gave me my date and I bought my opti 

No, they said I would get a call but I did get my opti. Geez I wasn't expecting the sheer magnitude of three weeks' worth lol

I see in other people's posts that they have an appt before surgery for bloodwork, etc. but no one mentioned this to me today.

that is what they do at pre op normally a week before surgery you go in 

Oh ok. Makes sense. By the way, holy speedy date batman!! your meet the surgeon was less than a month from your surgery date, how did you manage that?

Oh and do you have any idea of whether or not we can request a private room post op? And how long did they say you will be staying in the hospital?

at your pre op they should ask if you want a private room/semi private etc. I was shocked when the surgeon gave me that date! lol they told me I would spend 2 nights there and after I'm released they may tell me to get a hotel near by incase anything happens in close as I love 3 hours away from Toronto

I'm getting anxious but excited. Just slightly worried about the work situation as I will not be sharing what the procedure is. I'm also a tad worried about reactions to the weight loss -- even just on the opti.

How have you found the opti?

I don't start opti until Thursday I only have to do two weeks! I'm nervous to start but also happy I won't have to think of what to eat everyday lol. I've only told close people I'm having surgery my boyfriend parents and best friend. the rest of the world can think what they want :) I'm just so excited to see how much I loose on opti lol

Oh ... how interesting! We were told 3 weeks is mandatory for everyone but us Ottawa people go through a different clinic for pre-and post-op. Good luck! I'm in the same boat re: opti, I almost want to start it now ha!

I'm getting my RnY in Ottawa on 9 September 2016 (this Friday)!  How exciting is that.  My last day of Optifast is tomorrow (been on it for 3 weeks).  It is getting a bit much and very happy to end that part of my WLS.
