Nervous and excited and tired out.

Down 21lbs on Optifast. Thought I'd treat myself to a maid service to get the place spick and span before the hospital and they didn't show. So I did a quick tidy and cleaned the bathroom and will change out the bedding tomorrow morning so at least I come home to a fresh bed. I did get all the laundry done. Really ready for this to be done and to start the rest of the journey. Say a little prayer for me tomorrow at 2pm if you think of it :-)

Good luck on your surgery today...I am so happy for you!!! My surgery is Wednesday and I have been cleaning like a mad woman. I told my husband I feel like I am nesting, getting ready for a new baby, lol.

I'm thinking of you, and wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Quick update. Surgery went well. Am apparently sensitive to anaesthetic and it took them a lot longer to get me awake so spent 5 hours in recovery. Got up to room just after 9pm but was still woozy. Got upgraded to a private room which has been more peaceful. Slept 5 hours straight last night. Everything is good and am off all monitors and the IV. Diluted apple juice going down fine and so is broth. Not so much the je?lo ... gonna wait on trying that for a while. No significant pain. Meds are working. Nurses are lovely and kind. Dr. Jackson came to see me at noon and said as long as my blood work is good in the morning, I can go home by noon tomorrow! Will check in tomorrow night from home. Good advice on bringing pillows ... the 2 I brought saved me. Thanks for all the support guys, it has really helped.
