Iron absorption

good evening everyone

I was wondering how much iron we can absorb at once. I'm supposed to take 300 ml a day, and was wondering if I could take it all at once.

Hi, I'm not sure what the amount is that we actually absorb.  I take 300mg of Ferrous Sulfate twice a day, each time with a Vitamin C pill (which helps it to be absorbed).  If you meant that you need 300 mg a day, then you can take it at once, I don't know how much iron is in 300 ml.

Sorry, I did mean 300 mg. I was taking a liquid version, but bought Feramax powder this time

You want to stay away from iron salts as we don't absorb them as they are absorbed in the duodenum which is bypassed. Take Proferrin for example. Check out the iron maiden for info on iron post op.
