Time from Referral to Surgery

It took me 7 months which is extremely rare.  Ppl constantly ask me, how I did it so fast.  Ppl are generally told to expect 12-18 month wait.

My wait time was 15 months from referral to surgery through St.Joes in Hamilton. Surgery is July 15th. It's a long waiting time but it gives you time to change some habits you may have and really take the time to make sure this is a right decision for you. Definitely worth the wait. It is hard at times, patiently waiting with little to no communication from the clini****il you get that first appointment letter. But let me tell you once those appointments start coming it seriously happens really quick, that's why I say that waiting time in between helps in a way. 

 

Referral: March 25th 2015

Orientation: April 27th 2015

First appointment with the nurse: April 13th 2016

Internist appointment: May 26th 2016

Nutritionist: June 1st 2016

Social worker: June 9th 2016

Surgeon's appointment: June 20th 2016

Surgery: July 15th 2016

Anyone have any experience or information with Thunder Bay wait times? Just had my referral two days ago.
