New - have questions
I'm new to the forum. I'm from Northern Ontario. I have been going through the process and was told that the next step is meeting with the surgeon through OTN which they will call with the appointment this upcoming week.
What happens after that? I assume I will then travel down south for a 1 on 1 meeting? Does anyone know how long on between appointments? I'm starting to get impatient lol.
Any help is greatly appreciated
I went threw Sudbury bariatric clinic and 1 year post op this month. After you had your 1 on 1 s with nurse, dietician and social worker. your file goes to rounds and your file is sent to Toronto and your surgeons secretary will contact you with an OTN appointment. a video conference where you will meet your surgeon for 15 minutes he will do lots of talking and tell you which surgery you will be getting and how many weeks of optifast you'll need to take. Depending on which surgeon you get you might be told to wait and they'll call you with a surgery date? or they will give you a phone # to call and find your surgery date out. Then its pre op and surgery after your OTN appointment. It happens quick be ready
Thanks for your reply. I'm going through Sudbury as well. Just waiting for the otn appointment with the surgeon which I was told that it will be the first week of July. Approximately how long between the OTN appointment and the actual face to face? I was told things happen fast at this point but how fast? Lol.
