Hunger pains at 8 weeks post op

Hello everyone!! 

I hope someone can help me figure this out!! I am 8 weeks post op and I have these hunger pains! I tried drinking water and upping my protain but still doesn't help! I get these growling noise and a sharp pain that couses me to eat every 5 min!! I'm so tired of feeling hungry all the time! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong!

any info would be greatly appreciated

Eating every 5 min may be your problem. You will find your new pouch can be very talkative and noisy. You want to stick to 3 meals and 2 snacks.if your eating every 5 min then drinking you are not keeping your pouch full. Keep to the 30 min rule. No fluids 30 min before or after food. Try protein drink inbetween. 

At 8 weeks it is hard to determine the difference between head hunger and reaal hunger. Try logging what you are eating.

You can call your centre as well to speak to dietician for help as well.

I'm just worried if it's something else like an ulcer that can maybe mistaken as hunger pains.

I'll call my centre, maybe they can tell me if I need to make an appointment with my Surgen or if I need to make some changes in some of the foods that can creat acid in the stomac.

Are you having reflux? Go back to somethig that works and is bland. Chicken  or fish. Did they give you prevacid post-op?

Yes! I take it every morning, maybe I should go back to only having yogurt and protain shakes for a while.

You need more than yogurt. Try fish. I loved those arifical crab legs. Easy to digest. Chicken is good too. Go back to your plan. Eat slow small bites. Meal should take no more than 30 min to eat. Introduce new foods slowly. Concentrate on your protein. Yogurt is a slider food and does not stay in your pouch which can contribute to hunger. Definetly get into see dietician. They can help
