Hi there,

Last time I posted i had lost 50 lbs. But then the scale went up to 197. Sometimes I would go on three times the same number or goes back down to 193 or in terms evening other goes back down to 193. It'd been like this for about 2 weeks.  Well this week the scale has been going down.

Today, the scale said 188.5. The nurse at the clinic had told.me I could eat carbs. So I have been eating bread -Dempster thin slices and rice. So I think this is where I've been putting on weight. I cut it out this week and the number dropped from 197 on Sunday to 188.5 today. However, I  don't know if I could drop some much in two days. I personally think something is wrong with the scale. I'm going to my endocrinologist now so I'll see what his scale says.

What do you think?

Personally stay away from bread and rice if possible.  My carbs when I have them are a piece of melba toast with cheese on it or fruit has carbs in it.  They tell us to eat carbs but personally I do my best to avoid and only have on rare occasion.  I am over 3 years out now though.  The first year I really tried to avoid them as much as possible.

I agree, the NP told me I could eat more carbs too but I just stay away from them ... I incorporated complex carbs into my 'diet' but I stay away from bread and rice. Keep at it ... you've got this.

It's the carbs , it slows down the weight loss

I keep total carbs under 50 a day

Remeber the window is small for the malabsorption you need to take advantage now and drop the lbs

The dieticians always promote more carbs as a "balanced " eating plan,  and we all ignore them because we know the weight comes off quicker without them.  Sticking under 40-50 is a good idea for the losing phase.  Breads , rice, pasta ect.....No No's for sure,

YES......Weight can fluctuate greatly from day to day due to amts of water, salt, dehydration, bowel movements (or lack of)...you'd be amazed!!!

Thanks everyone! I went to see my endocrinologist yesterday.  Scale there said 191.All my blood work was perfect and I have cut out all my blood pressure meds. I've also lost more inches.

I learned my lesson. I've cut-out the carbs.  I've also learned

that you crave more carbs when you eat carbs.

Thanks for listening and your encouragement!

Your scale at home is pretty accurate then. Especially if you weighed at home in the morning. Good for you. You are doing so WELL!
