Panniculectomy

Good Morning!
I have been approved by OHIP for a Panniculectomy a Plastic Surgeon did the paperwork to get it approved but he cannot do the procedure without also doing a Abdominoplasty, and that will cost 5000.00
Has anyone had a Panniculectomy done by a General Surgeon? and who would you recommend in the Toronto area?
Thank You for all help!
I have read on OH that some people liked Dr. Nanodogopal.

You can definitely have panni alone. The results may not be what you want depending on your excess skin. I use Dr. Nandagopal for all my body conturing and I have done it all. I would not recommend having it done by general surgeon. You want to make sure that the surgeon has expperience with wls patients. Our skin is very different from a normal weight person. More vascular, loss of elasticity, healing challenges etc...
If your ps did not give you a reason why he would not do panni see someone else.
A pani only takes caare of apron below bellybutton. Moving the bellybutton up is not necessarily included so make sure you ask. It does not include any skin upper abdomen or tightenig of muscles
