Thank you, your post does help and puts me at ease. I like the idea of my hair possibly growing back thicker lol

I definitely will have to start a plastic's fund to be safe...lol

Have you had any plastic surgery done or considering it?

I have not had any plastic surgery.  I would consider it, but not right now.  It's too expensive and I would want to be 1 year at a stable weight.

I'm 3.5 months out.  I already have excess skin, and though my hair was thin before, I'm losing more than ever.  I'm swimming for an hour 5 days a week, exercising.  I know over the long run, things will catch up, and the skin will too, but right now, my arms drive me insane.  Good thing I'm far from self conscious.

Would I change my decision?  No.  I suffered for 18 years with terrible IBS.  I had anxiety about travelling or going anywhere.  After giving birth and having 3 epidurals, I had crazy back pain that would make it so hard to do anything.

Now, no more IBS, I have no holdups about travelling anywhere.  My back pain is gone, other than damp days.  I can keep up with my busy six year old.  I'm down 100 lbs from my highest weight, 85 lbs since surgery.  I could honestly care less about what my body looks like at this point, I feel like me again, for the first time in a long time!

Thanks for your insight!

I feel for you with IBS. I've only had IBS for about 4 years, but my symptoms go away for periods then come back. Took sometime to figure out, but I found ditching regular pop and making sure foods that had lots of sugar in them, were not the first thing I ate when I got up. That helped managed it a lot.

However, I know a couple people who've suffered with as you say terrible IBS, much worse than I do. Luckily in some cases changes in diet can  help immensely.

Interesting to know that you no longer have IBS. I've read some information before with people saying their IBS is either better or non existence. Be nice it that happens for me too!

I'm glad to hear so far that people would do it again!

Congradulations on being 100 pounds down! That's amazing. Keep up the good work, and best of luck to you in the rest of your journey!
