The number of studies depends on the centre. When I had mine done they woke me after a few hours and attached me to cpap. Others go for a second study to adjust the cpap

As I'm new here I'm still trying to navigate how this website works. I started replying individually to the individual replies to my post.

As I started doing that I noticed near the bottom there was a post reply button at the bottom. So not sure if when I reply to an individual post that it just goes directly to the member or stays within the orginal post. I hope I'm making sense.

Thinking the post reply is a general reply option....than replying individually? Am I correct or wrong? I have a ways of over complicating things and like I said I'm not the most computer literate person in the world. I literally joined yesterday. My posts are being moderated right now so not sure how quickly this will get posted.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Otherwise thank you for those *****sponded.

Welcome.  They may do a second sleep study to get the titration on your machine right.  As for appointments with the nutritionist, I would start journaling your food, and bring the journal to the first appointment.  Many use My Fitness Pal online to journal their food.

this is a great idea, at Windsor they have you attend the nut class where they give you tons of information. she will give you 6 sheets for 6 days of food records but you can't do them until a week or two before you see the dietician. you normally see the dietician 6-8 weeks after the nut class. :) but record now like they suggest it really helps yourself.

Thank you!

I don't know why but I was a little nervous in joining. Might take a while to get comfortable asking questions and telling parts of my story. Usually a very private person. But I guess were all in the same boat might as well help each other.

Take your time, it's your journey.  I lurked for months and then when I did post someone blasted me.  I didn't post again for months but that was over 12 years ago and they can't get rid of me  Some members advise and support with hugs and others are more in your face.  Remember we all have opinions and always make your surgeon your #1 source of information.

We are here for you and if you don't feel comfortable posting find members you like and PM them.

I lurked for a little while too. I have seen what you mean by people who are very supportive and as you say and some that are in your face. As to why I'm a bit nervous posting, but I'm sure over time I'll get more comfortable posting. Hopefully I'll get more hugs than not...lol

Sorry you had to experience that when you first started. That would be hard, as you coming on here to get information and support form people who are going through or have gone through this process.

I haven't been around too long to feel comfortable to personal message someone yet.

May I ask about your experience since you had your surgery so long ago? Ups and downs? Did you ever regret? I'm very interested in people who've gone through it and their experience and would they do it over again?

I had one sleep study at Mayo in Rochester MN . First half of night , no mask. Woke me up and put me on cpap. In the morning I was sent home with my machine. I loved it. Felt so refreshed. It was the first thing to go after losing weight.
