ok my BF asked me to roast him some chicken breasts before I go to the hospital tomorrow. I ate a few bites before I even realized what I was doing and now I'm freaking out since my surgery is in the morning. Did I just totally screw everything up?

I would tell them and ask if it is ok as soon as you can, its important that they know that there is food in you for your own safety.  Most likely it is still ok but they can tell you for sure.  Just don't eat anything else. Worse thing that can happen is they reschedule surgery for another time.  We all make mistakes, try not to worry about it, keep busy.

With any surgery you can't eat or drink 12 hours before. Hopefully your surgery is after that.

First of all good luck. 2nd you'll be fine. I had to cook Thanksgiving meal when I was on Opti, next thing I knew I had a piece of crispy skin in my mouth! It is hard to break those automatic things. One girl in my support group was eating happy meals! Dumb. Now she can't figure out why regain.

The most amazing thing post op was no hunger. Take your painkillers they offer. Makes moving much easier. Welcome to the bench

You will be fine. I didn't do opti, as it didn't agree with me I did a pre op diet that consisted of chicken veggies steak for 3 weeks no carbs(breads) and no sugars. Kind of like you see a lot of Americans do.  I was fine, u will be too
