I went through TWH. 4.5 yr out. Lost 160 from my heaviest. Put on and off about 5 lbs. Rid of apnea, high bp, high cholesterol and joint pain. Can eat just about anything. I do have reactive hypoglycemia since yr 2. Year 4 have anemia which I treat with iron infusion about every 6 months. Love the energy level. Didn't like the extra skin so just finishing my body conturing.

Getting involved in support group pre-op helped emensely. Met wonderful people in all stages. Would do it again in heartbeat

There's a really good article on OH today - 12 things you should know about  RNY Gastric Bypass. It's very informative and may help you.

Good luck!

I had Roux En Y 6-13-2001, almost 15 yrs ago. If I knew then what  know now I would have had it done 20 yrs earlier than I did. There were minor problems in the beginning with vomiting and low potassium but they didn't last forever.  had an anastomotic ulcer that bled 2 yrs ago requirng transfusions, but I am convinced  would not be here today if I had not had the surgery. My diabetes and BP were totally out of control. Now my meds are much simpler and sugar and BP are controlled. I still hover around 200 lbs but I was 352 at my highest.
