Totally normal... Search two week stalls. Ur body is in shock holding onto everything. I stall at 2 weeks at 3 weeks I gained half lb. then the weight started coming off slowly again. Follow the plan let ur body heal and get use to the new you. Even though u are stalled u could be losing inches. If u haven't done ur measurements start doing them because when the scale not moving u will be losing inches..

As was said this is normal. You'll see 2 and 3 week stalls posted. When you get your first stall will depend on how much you lost on Opti. Because your calorie count is down so much, your body goes into starvation mode and stores everything. Once it realizes that this is the new normal, you'll start losing again, no worries. Just keep on plan and you'll lose it.

Hi!
Yes, it is completely normal for some to stall. Just keep eating and drinking what you should be at this stage according to whatever information you were given by your clinic. Early on, when the scale doesn't move, quite often the tape measure does.
Are you exercising, or at least going for walks? If not, or not that much, if your body can tolerate it, and it is ok by your clinic, then maybe up that.
The funny thing about our WLS journey... for so many years we couldn't care less about our bodies, and did nothing to make it better. Then, we start this process, and we want to get to having surgery really fast. Once we get there, we want the weight to come off quickly, and we get concerned about stalls. But now is the time to take it slow and steady. Follow our post-op care plan.... and the most important thing.. start enjoying our new life! It's not a race, it's our journey, or second chance.
Stay positive and keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Skotti

OK...now it is time to step away from the scales. Dont loo****il next week. Keep up the good work. I noticed this week of extreme weather change that I am retaining water. Keep drinking water to hydrate. My first stall lasted two weeks! Pretty soon you will be changing up your foods to soft. Dont let your body mess with your head.

I had the Week 2 stall. I lost 10lbs week 1, lost 1lb in week 2, week 3 I lost 6lbs. This is my 4th week, and I'm down 3lbs (weighed because it's the 1st) - but my weigh in is actually Saturday.. I'm guessing another 6lb week for me. I just kept going - knowing the weight would come off when it was ready.
