They load you up with fluids during the OR. Common to put on 5 lbs of fluid weight. I was up and out the day after I came home to a party. That being said I did have pain from internal stich:-) for about 3 weeks

How long was your hospital stay at Humber? You go in one morning for surgery, are you released the next day? How are you feeling?

I'm just over 3 weeks post op. I haven't totally healed yet. I have two incisions that are always opening - I would thank life with a toddler and a preschooler for that. My surgery was at 3pm, I was up walking by 4am (probably a tad earlier than that).  Pain stayed for 3 days - I was off my pain medication the day after I got out (but I champed through a few painful nights on my friend's pull out couch).

I didn't weigh myself until a week post-op and I was down 10lbs. Week 2 I lost 1lb.  Week 3 6.5lbs.  I'm not sure what this week will bring!

I'm heading back to work this Wednesday - and in a

ll honesty my job isn't very physical, so I could have gone back at about 9 days...  I had pretty bad insomnia from 5-8 days post op, but as soon as that passed I was fine. I haven't napped since 3 days post op...  And I'm home all day alone. I wish I could nap!

6 weeks (3 post op, 3 of opti) I'm down 41lbs.
